RE: Thinking of using Everyplace ~Fred Opfoomanjip 21.Nov.03 04:29 AM a Web browser Domino Everyplace 6.0.1 CF2Windows 2000
Fortunately, it doesn't cost much and can be purchased on a per user basis. I purchased a couple of licenses a few weeks ago. I haven't had too much time to play around with it, but it's pretty bread and butter. The best feature is that you can check your mail on a PDA browser--a feature that is ready right out of the box, as advertised...but you wouldn't really need that feature with a Blackberry.
However, what it comes down to is that it's just providing you with wireless access to some web pages. It can be slow if you don't have a good signal on the handheld device and the functionality is limited.
It also is capable of providing mail access to certain cell phones, which could be a handy feature. It definitely pales in comparison to a good synchronized application, but the fact that it costs significantly less that most sync servers goes a long way.
For the 60 or so dollars that it costs w/o maintenance, you could get an Everyplace License and test it out on a Blackberry device to see if it works for you. If you don't like it, it only costs you $60, if you do, then you can purchase more licenses.
